Free-to-play board game
Ludo Game: Ludo 2020 Star Game is a mobile version of the popular board game, Ludo. This game app employs the same mechanic as the physical one. Your goal is for your tokens to make a full turn of the board before your opponent. Each token will move according to the number in the casted dice. You can play this game with your friends, online players, or against an AI opponent.
Race to the finish line
The simple game of Ludo is typically played between two or more players. Every player gets four tokens, which are required to make a full turn of the board. The player who gets all four tokens to the finish line will be deemed the winner. Players can move their token based on the number decided by casting a six-sided die.
The tokens can only move out of their base by casting a six. If a token of another player lands on the sample place as yours, your token will be sent back to your base. You will need to roll a six again to move it out. Casting a six will also entitle a player for another turn to the dice.
Play anytime, anywhere
With Ludo Game: Ludo 2020 Star Game, you can play this game no matter where you are. Upon launching the app, you can choose to play against the computer, locally, or online. Note that to play online, you need to download a separate Online Ludo Game app. Also, the number of supported players—up to four players—is relatively smaller compared to other Ludo game apps, like Ludo Master—which allows up to six players.
Players can choose to play the classic mode or the quick mode. With the classic mode, a player must get all of their tokens across the board to become the winner. The quick mode, meanwhile, only needs one token to make a full turn. Each player will be assigned a token color that will correspond to their color on the board. Both the local multiplayer and computer are playable offline.
Computer always wins
Ludo Game: Ludo 2020 Star Game is a fun casual game to play with your friends—that is, if you are playing the local multiplayer mode. Playing against the computer, on the other hand, is another matter. Playing against the computer allows you to do solo mode. However, prepare to be disappointed as you will lose every time.
The computer seems to always cast the right number to get its token across the board. If not reaching the finish line, it will get the number it needs to send your token back to your base. The dice also hurts your chances of winning. During the game, you will seldom cast a six whenever it is your turn to roll the dice. This can be frustrating as you need to get a six before you can move the token out of the base.
Would have been a fun game
If you are a casual player looking for a game to pass the time, Ludo Game: Ludo 2020 Star Game would have been a good game to try. The game mechanics are very easy to understand. The design is also pleasing to the eye, with its vivid colors differentiating each player in the game. However, the glitch—wherein the computer always wins—is a big deal-breaker. It also doesn’t help that the app comes with lots of intrusive ads, especially when playing online. Overall, if you want to play Ludo, there are other options you can try.
